VISION4FOOD is a Horizon Europe project aiming to enhance the sustainability and resilience of European food systems. By developing innovative governance models, our goal is to empower decision-makers with better-informed strategies while driving social engagement and innovation across five diverse European regions with different innovation ecosystem maturity levels: Finland, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Poland.
The VISION4FOOD methodology will focus in driving collaborative food system transformation through co-creation, acceleration, evaluation, and knowledge exchange. By supporting Food Innovation Platforms (FIPs), promoting Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) principles, and actively engaging stakeholders, the project aims to develop scalable and sustainable solutions. Through strategic policy advocacy and targeted dissemination, VISION4FOOD will catalyze regional innovation, driving meaningful and lasting food system change across the EU.
Our activities will be demonstrated in five different EU regions, representing varying levels of regional innovation ecosystem maturity. These will include less integrated regions (e.g., Poland), moderate innovators (e.g., Greece, Italy, Spain), and strong innovators (e.g., Finland). Additionally, we aim to extend our reach beyond these regions by involving other EU regions in mutual learning activities, fostering the development of new innovation ecosystems. This approach ensures inclusivity, particularly addressing the needs of less integrated regions in Europe.
