As part of the VISION4FOOD project, partners in Work Package 1 have developed a survey to identify the needs and challenges faced by key Quadruple Helix stakeholders — industry, public authorities, academia, and civil society/NGOs — in advancing open innovation within regional food ecosystems.
The insights gathered will directly contribute to the design of inclusive governance frameworks in Work Package 2 and guide co-creation activities in Work Package 3. The findings will also contribute to Deliverable 1.2, which explores the enablers and barriers to innovation in the food industry, along with stakeholder needs.
The survey focused on:
- Stakeholder beliefs and attitudes toward open innovation,
- Key enablers and barriers for its adoption,
- Specific needs and challenges that may hinder collaboration and the implementation of RRI principles.
While Task 1.3 of the project addresses all quadruple helix actors, the current survey places special emphasis on NGOs and civil society stakeholders in the five VISION4FOOD pilot countries: Italy, Greece, Poland, Finland, and Spain.
The results will play an important role in the development of new regional governance models to support open innovation and foster effective collaboration across all stakeholder groups within the food ecosystem.
If you are part of and NGO working in the food sector in Spain, Italy, Greece, Poland, or Finland, you can fill in the survey here. The survey will be open until September 14th, 2025.
