Confagricoltura is the leading Italian association for the protection and representation of agricultural enterprises. It has a history stretching back over a hundred years and stimulates the development of the sector by guaranteeing its economic, social and environmental sustainability. It defends farms of all sizes and specializations from innovation, competitiveness and internationalization. It is involved in European programmes for the enhancement of sustainable agriculture, the digitalization and valorization of Italian agri-food production and the development of policies based on the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork strategy.
Role in the project:
As a partner in the VISION4FOOD project, Confagricoltura plays an important role in the Food Innovation Platform (FIP) in Italy, actively engaging stakeholders to foster collaboration between companies, institutions, and research centers. In Emilia-Romagna, one of the project’s pilot regions, it will contribute to the development of acceleration agendas, promote sustainable practices, and support pilot activities. Additionally, it will assist in facilitating synergies for financing and capacity-building instruments.
