Castilla y León launches AGROCOMUNICA-CyL mission with first co-creation workshop

As part of the VISION4FOOD project activities in Spain, the Castilla y León Food Innovation Platform (FIP) will launch the AGROCOMUNICA-CyL mission through its first co-creation workshop.

The online workshop will bring together stakeholders from across the regional agri-food ecosystem to explore new ways of improving knowledge exchange and communication between research, industry, and society. Participants will work together to identify challenges and opportunities related to the transfer of innovation and knowledge throughout the food system.

AGROCOMUNICA-CyL is a pilot initiative designed to strengthen collaboration between science, the agri-food sector, and urban communities in Castilla y León. The mission aims to develop a practical Acceleration Agenda that supports the effective dissemination of knowledge and innovation, helping research outcomes and new solutions reach the stakeholders who can put them into practice.

The workshop will engage AKISCyL coordinators, agricultural organisations, researchers, and food SMEs in a collaborative discussion on how to overcome knowledge silos and improve communication across the regional food system. Through a co-creation approach, participants will contribute to shaping actions that can strengthen connections between key actors and accelerate innovation uptake.

The event forms part of VISION4FOOD’s wider efforts to foster collaboration, support regional Food Innovation Platforms, and promote more connected and resilient food innovation ecosystems across Europe.

The first AGROCOMUNICA-CyL co-creation workshop will take place online on 8 June at 13:00 CET. Stakeholders interested in participating are invited to register by contacting the organisers via email at mardomla@itacyl.es, after which they will receive the meeting link.
